The European Union and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have formally launched negotiations for a bilateral free trade agreement, opening the possibility of the first comprehensive EU trade deal in the Gulf region.
Today the Commission imposed anti-dumping duties of 13%-62% on imports of tinplate from China. The measures seek to protect the EU’s tinplate industry, which directly employs almost 5,000 people in five Member States, from being harmed by unfair trading practices.
The Convention will increase transparency in disputes brought by investors against States under investment treaties by ensuring greater public access to documents and hearings and permitting interested parties to make submissions to the tribunal.
